Summer Reading 2025

This year's Summer Reading theme focuses on games - video games, board games, and puzzles. The library has a variety of ways for you to Level Up at Your Library this summer, including fun events, weekly programs, and a summer-long reading contest.

Thursday, May 29 - Family Game Night @ 5-7 PM

Weekly Programs
Wednesdays at 10:00 AM for children 0-12 years old
June 4 - Ben Askew, a published children's book author/illustrator and a 2009 Central High School graduate will share about his process of creating.
June 11 - Popular children's book character Pete the Cat will be at the library sharing his newest release Pete the Cat Screams for Ice Cream! And yes, there will be ice cream.
June 18 - Illinois College Esports player from Fowler, IL
June 25 - Jiu Jitsu Professor Scott Altgilbers from Midwest Jiu Jitsu will share about how you can level up through the ranks of this martial arts discipline
Reading Contest
Register for the library's summer reading contest, starting May 19. Read to earn tickets, passes, and coupons from local organizations and businesses throughout the summer and win fun prizes at the End-of-Summer-Reading Party in August. All ages are invited to participate!
